The Stain: a sufi tale
BismiLlah Al Rahman Al Rahim,
Once there lived a warrior who found himself passionated for a woman for five years. She was subtile, sensitive, fresh, beautiful as the spring. The only problem was that in her right eye, was a white dot, a negligible stain as small as a grain of salt.
The warrior didn’t notice it at first. Time passes. Alas so does everything. His heart once burning, grew cold. One day, he frowned his eyebrows.
-Woman!, he said, come to the sun so I could see your face. You have a stain in your eye. Since when do you have it?
The woman lowered her head and said:
– Since you stopped loving me.
